From The President

I don’t know about you, but I’m fired up to get this new year started. As you can imagine, the Board of Directors and I have been hard at work, planning another year jam-packed with fun AND frolic! Our goals this year will look very much like last year.

To be Central Ohio’s all-inclusive women’s golf organization, we will be

  • welcoming and engaging,
  • offer experiences of quality and value,
  • provide a safe environment to learn, play and grow, on and off the golf course,
  • and give back to the communities we live in.So, pull out your calendars! Here’s a highlight of what this next year will bring.
Even though it’s cold and gray outside, we can still get together to mix ‘n mingle. We have pulled together some dates and activities to get out, shake off the cobwebs and reconnect. There will be something for everyone. Some events are for members-only, others will be for members and guests. Check out those announcements and come join us!

This is where it starts to get crazy!

It's the Season to GIVE...

We presented a check to Cheri Jenkins, Executive Director of the LPGA/USGA Girls Golf Program at The First Tee of Central Ohio! The $800 gift was a season-long effort of selling tickets for various events prize drawings.  Thanks Columbus, for supporting a great program.

From leadership to healthy living, Girls Golf uses the Five E’s to Empower, Enrich, Engage, Exercise, and Energize through the game of golf. Let's get more young girls out on the course!  To learn more about LPGA/USGA Girl's Golf,  go to: www.thefirstteecentralohio.org.

Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest & Fundraiser

What a wonderful evening for a fundraiser! The Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest at Gallo's was a smashing success, raising over $1,200 (including double donation day) for the Mid-Ohio Food Bank! Thanks to all who came out, contributed and joined in the fun. And congrats to Kelly Brink for snagging the Ugly Sweater prize!

2018 Season Finale

We had a howling good time at our spooktacular 2018 Season Finale, Saturday, October 27th at Cumberland Trail Golf Club. It was a wonderful celebration of the golf season and fabulous friendships.

Many, many thanks & congratulations to the winner of the Cathy Bregar Volunteer of the Year Award - Lee Schneider!!

Our 2018 Birdie Queen, for the second year in a row, Rita Williams - nicely done!!  Kudos to Kiss - the best costume winners (aka Daffney, Cindy, Patti & Patti)!

And hats off to those members & guests who actually played in the cold, wet weather!!

You can view photos of the event here.

2018 Women$ Open Challenge

What a great event!!  The inaugural Women$ Open Challenge was an outstanding success.  Seventeen scramble teams took on the challenge - both the course AND Mother Nature!  The hard-fought challenge was won by Team McCarthy with a score of 62!  Teams Cook and Geyer were second and third respectively following a scorecard playoff.

You can see the photos of the day here.
