Looking for a Few Good Women!!!
I don’t know about you, but I’m fired up to get this new year started. As you can imagine, the Board of Directors and I have been hard at work, planning another year jam-packed with fun AND frolic! Our goals this year will look very much like
With so many fun events planned for the summer, we are looking for some of you fantastic members to help us plan and organize them. We have various committees where you can jump in, learn about our processes and put YOUR ideas to work. Fresh blood on committees is ALWAYS a good thing. And as you already know, there are numerous benefits:
- Meeting new people and making more GOLF buddy connections
- Learning what is involved in pulling off these various events and activities
- Working first-hand under the guidance of a Board Member
- Earning valuable “Birdie Bucks” for your time to redeem later for a specific local event
Committees you might be interested in are:
- Chapter Communications and Social Media Management!
- Recruiting and Membership Care and Feeding!
- Event Planning and Activity Coordination!
- Golf Education and League Coordination!
- Marketing and Sponsorships to Help Subsidize Event Costs!
Please let us know how you would like to join in the fun. Your efforts will be greatly appreciated by the membership and I’m convinced you will enjoy every minute of your time. Guaranteed!!

It was a CHILLY evening but the Columbus LPGA Amateur ladies warmed up the venue and made it a fun night. Thanks for braving the cold!
It's the Season to GIVE...

We presented a check to Cheri Jenkins, Executive Director of the LPGA/USGA Girls Golf Program at The First Tee of Central Ohio! The $800 gift was a season-long effort of selling tickets for various events prize drawings. Thanks Columbus, for supporting a great program.
From leadership to healthy living, Girls Golf uses the Five E’s to Empower, Enrich, Engage, Exercise, and Energize through the game of golf. Let's get more young girls out on the course! To learn more about LPGA/USGA Girl's Golf, go to: www.thefirstteecentralohio.org.
2018 Women$ Open Challenge
What a great event!! The inaugural Women$ Open Challenge was an outstanding success. Seventeen scramble teams took on the challenge - both the course AND Mother Nature! The hard-fought challenge was won by Team McCarthy with a score of 62! Teams Cook and Geyer were second and third respectively following a scorecard playoff.
You can see the photos of the day here.
